Q: Where can I have my skip dropped?
A: Skips can be dropped on a private property such as your drive or on the road outside your house. Skips can also be dropped at business, offices or factories. For contractors and builders, we also offer waste disposal services for customer locations. And also for business customers wishing to recycle their waste cardboard and papers. Q: Do I need permission from the council to place a skip on the road?
A: Yes. a permit will need to be obtained from your local Council. They may charge a small fee for the skip to be placed on the road. We would be happy to arrange a skip permit for you
Q: What is the average size of a skip?
A: Average skips range between 6 to 8 cubic yards. For major refurbishment work or for construction work we also supply roll on-off bins. If however you only require a small skip we do stock mini-skips at 3 cubic yards
Q: What if I cannot get a skip license?
A: For skip permit problems, we may be able to offer a wait and load service, where the driver will wait while you load the skip. Please contact us for further information.
Q: Is there anything that I cannot put in a skip?
A: In accordance with environmental legislation, fridge freezers, asbestos and tyres are not permitted to be placed in a skip. Please check our terms & conditions for further information.
Q: Are there any skip loading requirements?
A: Skips must be level-loaded at all times to ensure safety and to ensure that all rubbish remains contained whilst in transit.
Q: How long can I keep a skip?
A: The price is the same whether you have the skip for one day or 14 days, until the skip is either full or you require a collection or an exchange. This may be extended at your request at a small cost.
Q: How do I book a skip?
A: You can telephone us to arrange deliveries, collections and exchanges of skips, or you can book online using email or fax us.
Q: How much notice do I need to give?
A: A minimum of 24 hour notice is usually required for deliveries, collections and exchanges. However, if you call us before 9:00 am, we offer same day service for some local areas. We may in extreme cases guarantee a next day service for either the morning or afternoon. For people who have a tight schedule, we will do out utmost to work around your requirements.
Q: What happens after my waste is taken away in a skip?
A: Skips are taken back to our fully licensed waste transfer station where we aim to recycle 75% of all waste to ensure that the minimum amount of rubbish goes to landfill.
